ROBERTSON-ROBERT-694-2On March 20, Aldersgate’s Staff Parish Relations Committee was pleased to share information with the congregation about our projected new pastor.  His name is Rob Robertson.  Pastor Rob grew up in Virginia Beach.  He is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he was a pre-med and history major.  Following his graduation, Rob went into the information technology field and owned his own business.

In 1999, Pastor Rob answered the Lord’s call to ministry.  He sold his business and attended and graduated from Duke Divinity School.   He has served two congregations in the Virginia Beach area, including his current church, Charity United Methodist.  Pastor Rob and his wife Carolyn live in Chesapeake, VA.  They have two children.  Son Michael is a senior at the University of Alabama.  He will graduate in May with a degree in accounting.  Daughter Katherine is a second year student at Sweet Briar College.  Their family dog, Ginger, is 12 years old.  She is part lab, part golden retriever and 100% friendly mutt.  Ginger is also looking forward to meeting Cooper, AUMC’s staff dog.

The Robertsons are very excited to be coming to Charlottesville and Aldersgate.
