Election of Local Church Leaders ^*

Each year, the Charge Conference shall elect the local church leaders upon recommendation by the Lay Leadership Committee or by nomination from the floor. It is important to note that all local church leadership roles and all chairs of organizations within the local church may be shared between two persons, with the following exceptions:

• Treasurer
• Assistant Treasurer
• Lay Member of Annual Conference
• Trustees
• Officers of the Board of Trustees
• Members and Chairperson of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee

Furthermore, when two persons jointly hold a position that entails membership on the Church Council, both may be members of it.
