Children In Worship Sunday Mornings
We want children and their families to know that they are a vital part of the congregation, especially during Worship on Sunday. Jesus said, “let the little children come to me.” So please, come as you are and knowing there is a place for your children to experience the mystery and wonder of God through Jesus here in this place.
- Children’s Message: children are invited to gather on the chancel steps during worship at 9am and 11am.
- KidzConnect: immediately following Children’s Message all children (age 4 – Grade 4) are invited to continue worship through song, story, prayer, offering, and more at KidzConnect located on the lower level.
- Wonders of Worship: bags are available with resources for children to explore with their parents during Worship in the sanctuary.
- Children who Lead: 4th graders (2nd Semester) are invited to serve as an Acolyte. For more information contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Parents Room: is available to the right of the Sanctuary as another option for parents and their little ones who might need to ‘take a break’ from the sanctuary.
If you have any questions or need assistance during worship, please reach out to one of our greeters or ushers and they will be happy to help you.
Children are invited to join their friends (and new friends) for a special time of learning to love and encounter God! This time is for children Age 4-Grade 4 in a set apart, holy time for children to get to know God more, through playful worship, games, bible story, prayer, art and breakout groups. The children meet their teacher after Children’s Message and return to the sanctuary with their teachers just before the end of service. Each week’s lesson is gospel-centered covering a variety of biblical topics throughout the year.
These small groups for children are all about growing in relationship with Jesus and with peers. KidzGrow provides an opportunity to go deeper in bible stories, learning through crafts and special projects, focusing on life in community and work on team building. Various KidzGrow groups gather either on Zoom or In Person throughout the year. Contact Pastor Julie for more details.
Children have a deep sense of wanting to help others. Throughout the year, children are encouraged to serve inside the church alongside adults and in the community in various ways with their families. We have served others with God’s love by sharing valentine cards, visiting nursing home residents, planting gardens, collecting food for the food bank, learning about the Ronald McDonald House and more.
This small group for 4th and 5th Graders is all about fellowship, fun, and faith. We typically gather 2x month to grow deeper roots of understanding our relationship with God. Along the way we have lots of silly fun and serve through various mission projects at our church and in the community.
Our nursery is professionally staffed with adults who look forward each week to caring for our youngest friends and getting to know their families! We welcome infants and little ones up through age 3. Our nursery is equipped with a separate toddler playroom, rocking chairs, Pac n’ Play, changing table, and more. Upon leaving your child in the nursery, you will be asked to provide a phone number in case of emergencies which nursery staff can use to call or send a text.
KidzCamp and Vacation Bible School
Each summer children are invited to enjoy week-long camps where they can dive in for more fun, silly games, team building, and explore their faith through playful learning. As we learn and grow together, we learn of God’s great love.
